What the Community is Asking For

1. Reopen the Plan for Real Community Input

We’re requesting:

• Bilingual, in-person community meetings with varied timeslots for working families

• Mailers and door-to-door outreach

• Meetings in our park's neighborhood, accessible for walking families 

• A transparent review of removed amenities
  
  

2. Restore Culturally Essential Amenities

We request that the city reconsider:

• Inclusion of handball courts (minimum 4)

• Restoration of the splash pad

• Preserving unstructured open space

• Guaranteed free-use hours on soccer fields
  
  

3. Support Families During the Closure

We request immediate community support:

• Free shuttle services to other local parks for Hermosillo park residents 

• Pop-up recreation programs in the neighborhood

• After-school supervised play areas near the elementary school
